About property licenses in New South Wales
All short-term rental accommodation (STRA) properties in New South Wales (NSW) must be registered and display a valid license number to be listed on Agoda. This is required by the NSW Government’s Code of Conduct for the short-term rental accommodation industry.
- To list your property in NSW on Agoda, you must register your property and obtain a license number from the NSW Government. Each property requires its own unique license number.
- License information will be displayed on your Agoda listing and may be inspected by authorities.
- To apply for your license, visit the NSW STRA Planning Portal.
Adding your property license
Single-unit homes:
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Property >> Rental license.
- Enter all required details, including your license type, license number, and full legal name.
- Click Save.
Multi-unit homes:
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Property >> Property settings.
- Go to Useful information and input your License Id / Local Tax ID/ Entity Name under The property section.
- Click Save.
Please do not enter false information. Providing incorrect details may result in penalties from the NSW government and your property being unlisted.
