Managing surcharges for your property
Surcharges are additional charges to the room rate, therefore should not be taxes. YCS supports mandatory surcharges and excluded surcharges.
- Mandatory surcharges are included in the final price when the booking is made and are collected by Agoda on the property’s behalf.
- Excluded surcharges are not included in the final price when the booking is made and are paid directly to the property upon check-in.
Taxes on surcharge guidelines
- Mandatory (Agoda Collect):
- Taxing Logic: Whether or not taxes are automatically added to Mandatory surcharges depends on whether or not rates are generally loaded without taxes
- How to setup surcharge: Mandatory surcharge value should be entered based on how rates for the property are generally loaded e.g. if you generally load rates without taxes, you should enter the mandatory surcharge value WITHOUT taxes. If rates are generally loaded with taxes, you should enter the mandatory surcharge value WITH taxes
- Excluded (Property Collect):
- Taxing Logic: Taxes are not automatically added to Excluded surcharges
- How to setup surcharge: Excluded Surcharge value should always be entered WITH taxes
Adding a surcharge
- Sign in to YCS. If you manage multiple properties, select it from Listings.
- Go to Rates and availability >> Surcharges.
- Click Add a surcharge.
- Fill in the required information:
- Select the type of surcharge from the drop-down menu
- Enter the surcharge amount
- Select the stay dates from which the surcharge to apply
- Tick the boxes to the left of the days of the week for which the surcharge should apply
- Select the room type for which the surcharge should apply
- Select the rate plan for which the surcharge should apply
- Select the Targeted promotions for which the surcharge should apply
- Click Save.
تعديل أو حذف الرسوم الإضافية
- سجِّل دخولك إلى YCS. إذا كنت تدير عدة عقارات، فاختر أحدها من القوائم.
- انتقل إلى الأسعار والتوافر >> الرسوم الإضافية.
- اضغط على رمز القلم لتعديل الرسوم الإضافية، أو على رمز سلة المهملات لحذفها.
Important information
- Excluded surcharges (property collect) must be collected by the property. Agoda will not take any responsibility in case of missed collection.
- The surcharge is always based on the same currency as your property setting.
- Always check if your surcharge is an amount value or a percentage %.
